About Mongongo Oil: For many years, the !Kung bushmen of the Kalahari have used Mongongo Oil as a body rub, both to cleanse and moisturise their skin, as well as protecting it against the harsh desert elements. Mongongo fruit is the primary food source of that tribe. Mongongo Oil is sourced from a rural village in Zambia, Africa. The harvesting and processing of the oil also creates an opportunity for village women to earn an income and create a sense of self-worth for themselves.
