A word from the owner of Naturally Safe Cosmetics
Hi there! I'm Angela, wife and mother to two young men and owner of Naturally Safe Cosmetics Australia. My love for organic beauty and personal care products arose out of a need to find skin care products that would benefit rather than aggravate my own skin, which has always been prone to dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis - not to mention frequent allergic reactions to many of the products found on supermarket and pharmacy shelves.
When I decided to return to the workforce after being a stay-at-home mum for 10 years, I knew that going back to working in the legal world was no longer my passion. I started my own online organic beauty store in 2013. Then, in 2015, the opportunity to also acquire Naturally Safe Cosmetics came up. Eventually, the two similar business were merged into one, retaining the name Naturally Safe Cosmetics.
I'm constantly researching products and ingredients. To be honest, we're pretty spoilt for choice these days when it comes to natural and organic products. New brands are popping up seemingly every day. However, it takes more than the inclusion of a couple of organic ingredients to make a product truly natural and organic. The ingredients a brand chooses to leave out of a product is just as important as what they choose to put in it. I will admit, I am pretty picky when it comes to the products available at Naturally Safe Cosmetics. Every single one is scrutinised down to the last ingredient.
I also love keeping up-to-date with the latest industry news, including scientific studies into the effects of ingredients used in cosmetics and personal care products, as well as progress with improving government regulation of the beauty industry.
