The problem with wood pulp in pads
Many conventional feminine hygiene pads are made with chlorine bleached wood pulp. Chlorine bleaching produces a by-product known as dioxins. The EPA has declared that dioxins are highly toxic and can cause cancer, reproductive and developmental problems, damage to the immune system, as well as interfering with hormones.
